New Trails is an incredible landscaping sim that I found last October. It not only offers foliage like trees and bushes, but a large selection of holiday decorations and aquatic decor, from waterfalls and rivers, to water lilies and reeds, all with beautiful textures and low prims.My favourite thing has to be the sugar skull series. It’s so bright and colourful and vibrant, and you all know how I feel about colour. Everything you see here is up for grabs; the path, the skulls, the decorated trees. Different permissions for different prices are also available, i.e. mod/copy costs more than mod/trans.

Like I said, they offer aquatic decor, and their river and waterfall construction set is incredible. You can buy rapids, straight-aways, curves and bends for 450L-750L or buy the whole fatpack for around three grand, which, let’s face it, is a better deal if you really need them. All the pieces are animated and scuplted to boot. This spanish moss is also available, which is another one of my favourite pieces!

Beautifully textured lilies and reeds, only 1-2 prims a piece! Lilies are offered in four great colours; white, pink, magenta, and purple for 190L a pop for the transfer versions. I also love these reeds and cat tails. Definitely pick them up if you plan on making water wonderland.

But, the main bread and butter of the store are the trees, and there’s tons of them. They come in almost every season with nice texturing and even options to have lights or spanish moss. About 2-3 prims a piece depending on which ones your looking at.

Aside from Día de Muertos and Hallowe’en, New Trails has a HUGE selection of winter and Christmas items. They have the best garland I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of stuff. Everything that can be found in the store also comes in a lovely frosted version, plus oodles of other winter decorations that you could ever need, but really.. it’s almost summer.

If you don’t mind the slight hassle of having to change your trees for every season (or if you don’t do that at all), I highly suggest taking a trip over here. There’s a great selection of things for any landscaper, even if you only have a small plot or an entire sim! See you at New Trails!
